Shinbone
The tibia is a U-shaped bone located in the neck region of the human body. The tibia is located between the jaw and thyroid cartilage and does not articulate with other bones. The tibia is a key attachment point for some of the muscles of the tongue and throat and plays a role in swallowing and speech. It serves as an attachment point for several important muscles involved in swallowing and speech production.
