Abdominal Swelling in Cancer Patients
It's the result of a condition called ascites. It's characterized by fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity, and this fluid accumulation can be seen in many cancer-related conditions. It can be associated with many different types of cancer and is usually caused by a tumor. Causes of abdominal swelling include liver cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, lymphoma, and leukemia.
